Modified Dr. Bob Sears Vaccine Schedule

The following is an alternative vaccine schedule that we have adapted from one of the original Dr. Bob Sears vaccine schedules. We want to make it clear that we fully support and routinely administer vaccines according to the AAP and ACIP guidelines. This vaccination schedule is being displayed as an alternative to choosing not to vaccinate due to fears of multiple vaccines being given at once. While we feel that it is completely safe to vaccinate according to the AAP/ACIP guidelines and have done so for our own children, we understand that some parents have concerns. We, by no means want these families to not vaccinate because of these fears, and have therefore devised this alternative schedule to space out the vaccines. We still encourage you to vaccinate according to our routine schedule and are happy to answer any questions you might have.

Trumemba (Meningoccocal serogroup B) is offered to patients age 16-21 who are at risk of disease as a two or three dose series.
Prevnar 13 has replaced Prevnar 7 for the complete series of 4 doses. For children who are less than 5 years old and received all doses as Prevnar 7, a booster dose with Prevnar 13 is recommended. Visit Prevnar13.com for more information.

*MMR can be given as early as 12 months depending on the comfort level of the parent. Remember, the earlier the vaccination, the less risk of getting the illness.
*Hep B can be postponed until a later date as long as the mother’s labs were negative.
